I consider myself to be a confident and organised person. I have excellent communication skills that allow me to communicate effectively and efficiently around others, vital in tutoring.

I am an experienced Mathematics Teacher with a passion and drive to see my students excel in their learning. Whether they need a confidence boost in their mathematical ability or just general guidance with their study skills.

My unique approach to tutoring allows me to adjust to my students learning style.

Tutoring Experience

As a Teacher, Maths Examiner and a Tutor over the last 9 years, I know the importance of providing students with a foundation for lifelong learning, critical thinking, and technical problem solving, through an innovative, well-balanced and dynamic lessons.

Students are encouraged to persevere and be resilient learners as they actively engage and become successful, independent mathematicians.

I aim to foster an environment where students feel safe to take risks and to learn from mistakes.

Tutoring Approach

I believe my role as a tutor is to provide my students with individual assistance and support with their problems, and equally importantly, to try and ignite their interest in studying. I try and engage my students, to stimulate them, while still making them feel comfortable around me. It is essential that students not only get good grades, but also understand concepts, learn to think mathematically and solve problems themselves.

Rather than just showing them how to solve problems, I encourage students to think and work through things themselves, while only gently prodding them in the right direction. This tends to greatly enhance their knowledge and self-confidence, and many are surprised at how well they do.
