Tutoring Approach

I believe that exam and revision techniques are central to exam success. You may understand a subject well in theory, but if you can’t recall the information or don't understand the question, you have little chance of gaining many marks. The new linear A Level biology specification has brought enormous challenges for students with an increased emphasis on analysis and practical application.

At the first meeting, we will discuss your concerns and I will make an assessment of your progress to date, this will include looking at your past tests and homework to identify areas for improvement in technique as well as subject knowledge and understanding. I will work with you to apply strategies to help improve your understanding of difficult biological concepts.
