I am a qualified teacher and have worked as a teaching assistant in a local Primary School in Peterborough whilst completing my BA (Hons) Degree in Education and Childhood Studies. I am trained in Read Write inc and Jolly Phonics. I teach year 5 and have great in depth knowledge about the curriculum.
I have vast experience working alongside primary school age pupils and lead interventions in numeracy and literacy. I am very confident at assisting pupils with learning to achieve their targets and reach their potential. I have vast experience in tutoring with a group of children or one to one sessions.
I categorise myself as a facilitator and my overall approach to educating others is person-centered mentoring and learner led knowledge development. I provide learning sessions tailored to each individual and building upon their strengths to support their development needs. I source, modify or develop learning resources that will be relevant to and fun for each learner. I support learners to set realistic achievement goals and regularly review progress through a course.
My aim for every learner is for them to be confident in their understanding and knowledge of the subject matter as well as develop learning skills they can transfer across to others subjects.
