I have been awarded the degree of Master of Science in Learning and Teaching from Oxford University for my research into teaching methods for pupils aged 9-13. I have been Head of Year 6 and have taught Year 6 to 8 pupils in a range of subjects. I have many years experience of preparing pupils for both 11+ and 13+ entrance exams in a range of subjects and can help in such areas as verbal and non-verbal reasoning, creative writing, essay writing, English comprehension, interview skills, Humanities, Maths, Latin, Humanities and study skills. I have had much success in this area and have supported literally hundreds of Year 5, Year 6, Year 7 and Year 8 pupils to successfully gain places at a range of independent and selective state schools, with many pupils achieving Academic Scholarships and Awards. In 2023, I privately tutored a Year 6 pupil to achieve an ‘All-Rounder Award’ to a highly selective independent boys’ school, giving him a fee remission for the duration of his time at the school, as well as teaching multiple subjects to four pupils who were successful in winning at 13+ Academic Scholarship to their respective secondary schools. I also have many years experience of teaching Latin and Religious Studies to Keys Stage 2 and 3 pupils and can also teach these subjects to GCSE level. I am also fully experienced at teaching online effectively via Zoom to enable pupils to reach their full potential. 17 years teaching experience.
