I am a focussed and committed teacher of chemistry and head of chemistry. My first degree is in Chemistry, and my masters degree is in food science, a direct application of the chemistry principles I studied in chemistry.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching for 20 years. 5 years in a high performing school in Gateshead, 7 years in a challenging school in Northumberland and 8 years in an academy in Durham as head of chemistry. My students have achieved a 100% pass rate in chemistry and regularly achieve the highest grades.

Tutoring Approach

I am friendly and approachable, but professional in my approach. All students can be successful in A level chemistry, but it needs focus, hard work and careful direction. Students are individual and require a tailored, individual approach to studying chemistry.
