Online lessons are run through Zoom and by screen-sharing from my iPad. This approach allows us to work very efficiently through past paper questions, to make notes to clarify specific parts of the topic, and to refer to the textbook and other resources (e.g. periodic table, data booklet) where necessary. After each lesson, I will send you a PDF of all the work done along with further resources for independent study.

Tutoring Experience

I am a qualified teacher and tutor, with 9 years experience of teaching A Level Chemistry and Physics. My students have made fantastic progress and achieved grades up to A* at A Level. Several students have gone on to study at some of the most competitive universities in the UK.

As a qualified teacher, I can explain the tricky parts of chemistry and physics clearly, enabling you to develop a very solid understanding of each topic. Also, as an experienced A Level and GCSE examiner, I can help you better understand what each question wants and how to gain full marks on it.

I have a First Class degree from Oxford University and a PhD from Cambridge University. As a PhD student, and later Research Fellow, I taught 1st and 2nd year Chemistry to Cambridge undergraduates in small tutorial groups and also interviewed students for admission. My subject knowledge in Chemistry and Physics is very strong so I can help you unpick and gain confidence in answering even the most challenging of questions on the A Level exams.
