I'm fully qualified primary school teacher with wide ranging experience of teaching children of all primary school ages. I have taught every stage in primary school and have also tutored High School students with their English. I can offer tuiton in the West Lothian area.I am enthusiastic about learning and teaching and pass this on to those who I teach.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught at all stage of the school and taught High school Students as well as adults. I have also prepared three children to pass the entrance exam to an independent girls school in Edinburgh. More recently I helped a child pass her 11 plus .I have developed numerous strategies to meet the learning needs of the individual. I have been able to enable children to reach their full potential on numerous occasions.

Tutoring Approach

Through discussion with parents and child, we will create a teaching plan that best suits the child. I listen carefully to ensure that we can overcome any obstacles to learning and build up the confidence of the child which I have found effective, especially with maths. I always try to make tutee's relax and enjoy the process of learning, while at the same time striving to reach new levels of understanding and attainment. We will work on the areas required by each individual, reaching agreed goals on core skills and referencing the Curriculum for Excellence where appropriate.
