I have an A* grade in A level mathematics, A in Geography A level, and A in Music A level. I graduated from the University of Bristol in 2014 with a 2:1 in Music.
It was my experience teaching a class of 8-9 year olds English in Italy in 2012, which really kick started my passion for teaching.
While studying at University I taught privately alto saxophone and English as a Foreign Language to international students. Since graduating I have worked in primary and secondary schools, and have continued to teach privately.

I feel it is my genuine enthusiasm for the subjects that I teach which really enable my students to make excellent progress.

Tutoring Experience

I have extensive experience tutoring mathematics, predominantly GCSE level. As well as tutoring privately for a number of years, I have taught in a secondary school maths to year 10 and 11's. Prior to that, I worked in a primary school as a mathematics and english intervention teacher for both KS1 and KS2.
I also teach alto saxophone, piano and music theory.
I have taught from the ages of 5 up to 45!!

Tutoring Approach

I believe that each individual learns differently so it is the responsibility of the tutor to adapt and find the best ways of teaching to suit the student. I like to use a hands-on, interactive approach. Not only do I find it really help to boost the student's confidence, but it makes the lessons more engaging and so rapid progress can be made.
