Tutoring Experience

I have qualifications in:
BA Modern Languages (Oxford University);
BA Theology (Brunel University);
Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Linguistics (SIL);
Trinity Cert TESOL
I have experience of different sectors, such as the motor industry, B2B marketing, the hospitality industry and retail.
I have been a freelance English teacher for about 3 years, although before that I had already been involved in teaching English.
At the moment most of my work comes from the award-winning international tutoring company Learnship and I enjoy teaching international professionals up to senior manager level. I keep some time free for other clients so that I have a good variety of work, face to face and online.

Tutoring Approach

I teach adults from complete beginner up to advanced level (A0 to C1)
My main focus is usually on business communication but my approach is based on your level and needs. I am very flexible and adaptable. My students find me friendly and patient.
I can help students prepare for any EFL/ESOL qualification, e.g. TOEIC, IELTS, Cambridge Proficiency, Cambridge Advanced etc

Advice to students: Don't be afraid of making mistakes! Try out new words and phrases. Make a note of times when there were communication problems and ask your English teacher about them.
