I am currently a secondary school MFL teacher in Norwich. I have 5 years experience of teaching at secondary level and have also been a Head of Department. Before entering teaching I achieved a BA from the University of Warwick in French and Italian Studies and an MA (with Distinction) in French studies from the same university.
My approach to teaching focusses on encouraging students to become confident in speaking and communicating in the target language. I believe that making languages fun and engaging is the best way to develop fluency.
I have been a secondary school teacher for 5 years. I am currently a Teacher of MFL at a secondary school in Norwich, having previously been a Head of Italian at a school in Hertfordshire. I have helped students to achieve excellent results in their GCSEs and A Levels in both French and Italian during my teaching career, most notably last year when my Year 11 Italian class achieved well above their predicted grades.
Throughout my career as a secondary school languages teacher I have adopted an engaging approach to teaching, and have achieved excellent results from both GCSE and A Level classes for both French and Italian. I believe that everyone has the ability to reach and advanced level of fluency in foreign language with effort and enthusiasm, and have guided many students over the years to reach their full potential.
