This is how 2 referees rated Peter:
I am a friendly, capable and effective tutor with a degree in Maths. A 20-year career with Shell and 14 years tutoring have given me a lot of experience in helping people and a good dose of common sense! I tutor in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas, Newport Pagnell, Bletchley, Olney etc.
Students I have helped in the past have come from schools such as Royal Latin, Denbigh, Hazeley, Aylesbury Grammar, Bedford High, Oakgrove, St. Pauls, Oundle, Redborne, Shenley, Lord Grey, Sir Henry Floyd, Stantonbury, Webber Independent School, Stowe, MK College, Walton High, Ousedale, Elizabeth Woodville, Oxford Brooke University, Marlborough College and Roedean.
I specialise in tutoring Maths and I have been doing this since 2003 at GCSE and A level, with excellent results. I also tutor Mehanics,Statistics, Decision, Further Maths, International Baccalaureate and Numerical Reasoning including QTS. Tutoring is the most rewarding thing I have done. I love it!
I am also a member of the Tutors Association http://thetutorsassociation.org.uk and abide by the Code of Ethics and Code of Professional Practice.
I understand that maths can be difficult and challenging, so I tailor each lesson to the specific needs of each individual student. I listen to and observe each student carefully and work with them to find the best way to help them understand and flourish. My aim is always to support and encourage each student to reach their potential and achieve or exceed their goals.
Every year I run fully invigilated mock exams which all of my students are invited to attend. This has been a great success, with 100% of participants stating that this will improve their chances of doing well in the exams.

The tuition period is clearly well-planned and it represents good value for money. Peter is cheerful and polite and he provides my son with sufficient examples (by way of homework) to reinforce and clarify the lessons. My son has told me that Peter provides clear explanations of the material and he can see the issues that bother my son and takes time to explain them properly. He is patient and thorough and can be highly recommended. I would have no hesitation in recommending Peter to any prospective student of Maths.
(edit for update… )
The arranged course of sessions has now concluded. I was pleased and surprised to find that Peter had given my son some homework for the final lesson and will mark it after the sessions were completed. This is an excellent commitment to providing help and assistance to students. Peter is an outstanding tutor and you will do well to hire him for teaching any student of maths. Five star tuition and five star reliability. Thank you very much Peter. I am certain that we will be engaging you again when my son is due to sit the examination.
Peter is a very good tutor, funny and makes it look easier that it actually is.
Peter was always on time - despite the bad weather - and flexible when Greg needed to reschedule a session.
We will await the exam in January to see if the extra help is paying off but callum feels more confident in As maths lessons now and confidence is a big issue with him due to some rather poor teaching in the important GCSE years at his school.
I recommend Peter very highly because he is a very knowledgeable, professional and highly skilled.tutor.
I called on Peter to assist in a SHL numerical reasoning test that I needed to sit in order to gain a position. Not only had Peter researched the site prior to assiting me, he had sat the test himself! Needless to say he was excellent and I passed!
