I am very enthusiastic and dedicated.
I have a passion for maths and science tuition and in many ways consider it to be my 'hobby' since I retired from full-time teaching.
I have spent around 8 years providing private tuition in the Co Durham area.
I have recently dedicated a considerable amount of time preparing coursework materials and questions for the new 9-1 GCSEs in maths and science(not biology)
I have a relaxed yet confident and friendly teaching style.

Tutoring Experience

I have 17 years teaching experience (chemistry and maths) at a large comprehensive school in Gateshead.
I have taught classes to GCSE and 'A' level.

8 years private tuition in maths and science.
Most of my enquiries / work is through word of mouth

Tutoring Approach

I like to use up-to- date past paper questions with my students . During my non contact tutoring time I can spend hours on the internet searching for new ,challenging, stimulating and exciting questions. As a result I feel that I am fully prepared , confident and ready to assist students with the rigours of the new 9-1 GCSEs in maths and science.

Unlike many tutors , I do offer to set and mark homework if requested (at no additional cost)

I do provide tuition during school holidays.

I travel to the students home.

There is a small charge to cover travelling costs
