I am a friendly and experienced native Spanish tutor currently living in Spain.
I have several years’ experience working in further and higher education and giving one-to-one tuition in the UK, teaching Spanish at all levels.
I am also a qualified EFL teacher and have experience teaching in further and higher education in Chile. I hold a B. Ed in English (2005), MA in Victorian Studies (2010) and an MA in Museum Studies (2014) and have experience in TOEFL and IELTS preparation.
I like to create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere where students feel it's OK to make mistakes and that they understand it's a normal part of the learning process.
I use the Common European Framework of Reference to design my course syllabi and like to carry out a free initial assessment (oral interview) to get a better idea of the level of the student, so I can choose the right material. It's important for me to find out as much as I can about the learning objectives of the student beforehand and his/her interests, so I can design a programme that is tailor made and relevant to the student.
