Having taught in secondary schools I am now working as a private tutor. My previous background was in computer science and advanced applied mathematics.
I taught Maths, ICT and Computing in secondary schools for 5 years.
My students were aged 11 to 19, covering subjects from beginner's level to A-Level.
Subjects covered: Maths: Key Stage 3 to GCSE. ICT/Computing: Key Stage 3+, GCSE & A Level.
Additional subjects covered:
Computer programming: Python, Visual Basic, Java, C++. Creating computer games and animations.
My aim is to bring the best out of my students, stretching their ability within the pace they can manage.
All classes given are tailor-made to the students' individual needs.
Areas of maths / ICT causing concern to my students are addressed and overcome. New, advanced areas are introduced when the student is ready.
I expect all my students to progress by at least 1 grade level higher, per year, than previously expected by their school.
Special tips for answering maths / ICT exam questions are given to allow students to write quality answers in the quickest way possible. In this way all my students enter an exam with confidence and a sure notion of their ability and attainment level. (All ability levels catered for)
Cancellation policy: If notice is less than 24 hours the normal charge will be due.
