Patrick

I use creative, imaginative, and positive reinforcement strategies to help students access and apply critical skills in my subject areas.I have been working as Removed tutor since 2009 and qualified as a Business & Economics teacher in 2004.

All of my students are well ahead in their class studies and are expected to make at least their predicted targets or achieve higher than the expected targets.

I have a proven track record in private tutoring in preparing students for the entry exam to Grammar Schools (11+) where I have a 100% success rate in supporting students getting their desired scores. (including my own daughter)

Furthermore I have supported students at GCSE, AS & A2 levels succeeding within their subject areas.

I can offer 1-2 hours session either at your home, on-line or from my home. This educational opportunity can be particularly beneficial if your child is due to take an entrance exam in the near future. I teach my students all the different techniques required to solve a range of problems and to improve their functional mathematical skills.

The curriculum, for all school ages, now require students to have resilience in their problem solving abilities, and to hold a concrete understanding of the concepts they are required to learn in order to be successful in their examinations. This success is achieved by students having the time and appropriate facilitation to explore the necessary concepts - which is exactly what I am able to offer.

Tutoring Experience

Currently I am a full time Business Studies & Economics teacher and a part time tutor. I have over 15 years teaching experience working in a range of primary & secondary schools, teaching both Business & Economics & Government & Politics alongside Humanities subjects such as History & Geography, Sociology and Philosophy and more recently Religious Studies.

During observations over the most recent 3 years I have been assessed by School Leaders & externally by Ofsted as an 'Outstanding Teacher'.

I have been an examination assessor for three major examination boards for over 5 years which has given me a direct insight into how to ensure students maximize their grades and potential.

Tutoring Approach

I love tutoring. Tutoring has enabled me to improve the life opportunities of so many young people, enabling them to continue on to schools, colleges, universities and courses of their choice.

Providing students with a unique learning experience and attaining the highest grades are my key priorities as a tutor. Attention to detail, brilliant planning and timing skills ensure your passion for a subject transforms into your highest potential.

My advice to parents is that it is worth spending the money to hire the right tutor for your child as the result will be positive.

If you are looking for a home tutor for your children, please get in touch. I look forward to hearing from you and working with you and your children.

Please call me to discuss your children's learning needs.
