I am 56 years old and currently work in an inner city school in Birmingham. I am a fully qualified teacher with over 20 years experience of working in a primary setting. I specialise in special educational needs and also teach the core subjects; english, mathematics and science.I am passionate about helping children (whatever their needs) reach their full potential in education. As a child I thrived off teachers who were supportive, friendly and passionate about my learning, and this is the same ethos I use when working with children. I have many skills and qualities including patience, the ability to support children who have special needs understand the work by using resources to support their learning needs. I can also offer behaviour support. Look no further if you want your child to succeed.

Tutoring Experience

I have worked in many settings including both primary and secondary, and also children with needs.
I currently work in a primary school where I teach children with Special educational Needs. I am also responsible for running after school interventions helping children revise for Sats.
I also provide support for children with other areas of need such as autism, speech and language, communication, and cognition and learning. If a child is tutored by me, they will build their confidence and thrive.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to tutoring is very visual. I use resources catering for the child’s need. I am friendly, caring and want the best for all children regardless of their ability, ethnicity, religion etc. Children need to feel comfortable and confident, and feel relaxed to learn and ask questions. Building a positive relationship with children encourages learning and that’s the approach I take. Does your child have autism or a learning need? Then I am your tutor.

Cancellation of lessons by the Student
24hrs notice must be given for cancellation of lessons.
If notice is not given, the student will be charged at full rate.

Cancellation of lessons by Tutor
24hrs notice will be given if a lesson has to be cancelled. The lesson will be re-scheduled.
