I am Head of Religious Studies at an independent school in the south east. I have been teaching for eight years and have experience of educating students of all abilities in both the state and private sectors.

I have a BA (Hons) in Philosophy & History from Cardiff University & a PGCE in Religious Education (Distinction) from Cambridge University. I also have a Masters in Residential Education from the University of Buckingham.

I have an excellent track record of examination results at both GCSE and A level, as well as experience of many examination boards (OCR, AQA, Edexcel, IGCSE). At both GCSE & A level my students have an 100% A*-C/9-6 record, even if initially predicted well below this.

I am able to teach a variety of ways and methods to suit different learners (including SEND needs). I offer tutoring in religious studies/education (theology, philosophy and ethics) and philosophy & critical thinking at GCSE, A level and university standard. I can also provide support for UCAS personal statements and Oxbridge interview preparation.

Enthusiastic, patient and an ability to break down complex materials to make them manageable. The great thing about one-to-one tutoring is being able to tailor an approach to the student and so I will spend time learning what works best for you or your child.
