I am 32 years of age and have graduated with an in Sport and Development (awarded 'Merit'). Prior to that, I gained decent grades at GCSE & Alevel & went on to obtain a 2:1 in BSc (Hons) sport studies and a Merit in MA Sport and Development
I am working towards a spot on the GB Paratriathlon team, have coached athletics for the past 8 years mentoring both athletes and coaches, worked for Local Autorities & NGBs.
I have taught BTEC level 3 Applied Psychology, HND and Degree sports psychology, skill acquisition, PE, coaching and sports development and can adapt these to GCSE level too. My ALevels were in general psychology and PE. I have also taught access courses to those with SEND.
I take and active-experimental learning approach to tutoring whereby students will get the opportunity to discover and analyse the areas of study critically. It is important also to recognise individual learning styles alongside using materials students have been directed too via the institution they attend - Please make sure these are on hand during sessions & that when contacting me, you provide information of what you require specifically & the topics to be studied so that I can assess my capabilities to support you at a high standard and ensure I can best meet your needs before we finalise arrangements.
I am generally available weekday evenings
If you wish to cancel a session I usually require 24hrs notice. However, if you are cancelling on the day due to unforeseen circumstances, I will not charge you when given 3hrs notice.
