I am classically trained, but love all genres of music. Completed the ABRSM grades 1-8 in piano and theory of music ( both with distinction) as well as the ABRSM advanced certificate in performance , and LGSM (teaching) I currently teach classical , jazz , rock and pop to all age groups. There is always an option for students to enter for recognized practical and written examinations should anyone choose that path. Member of ISM and MU, and EPTA.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching for 25 years in various music establishments and schools , and also in my home studio. Here I have a high spec. digital piano, as well as a beautiful concert grand. Recently I am also enjoying very successful online lessons Via zoom.

Tutoring Approach

Each lesson is tailored to the individual and their specific requirements, so every lesson is different. Some people want to learn to play their favourite songs on their keyboards , others want to play popular classics , others want more formal technical work, and lessons to be structured with a view to taking grade exams. I always offer a free initial lesson so I get an idea of what someone ( or parent /carer) wishes to achieve, and we start building from there. I am very flexible and can change the direction of our musical journey at any stage.
