I am an experienced maths teacher with a passion for the subject. I believe that everyone can be a successful and confident mathematician at a level that is meaningful for them. I aim to prepare students for the challenges that they will face in everyday life so that they can solve problems confidently.
I have almost 30 years experience of teaching maths from year 7 to A Level Further Maths. I have worked in a variety of school and have held roles including head of maths, head of sixth form and assistant headteacher.
I help students by showing them how to break a problem into small manageable chunks, focusing on decoding the question then choosing a suitable strategy. My calm and patient approach allows even the most reluctant mathematicians to be successful.
