I am a passionate and dedicated mathematics tutor with a strong academic background and a genuine love for teaching. I hold 2 honours degrees in Mathematics and Accountancy. With over 26 years of experience in teaching, and many as Head of Department, have successfully helped students achieve excellent results at both GCSE and A Level, allowing them to take the next steps in their academic studies.

Tutoring Experience

Over 26 years as a teacher of GCSE and A Level Maths and Statistics with many years as Head of Maths and Assistant Vice Principal. I am a Lead Examiner for the AQA Exam Board with over 20 years' experience as a Senior Examiner.

I have a personalised and interactive teaching style, incorporating real-world examples. where appropriate, to illustrate abstract concepts and fostering critical thinking skills. I encourage my students to ask questions, engage in discussions, and apply mathematical principles to solve practical problems.
I possess strong communication skills, have patience and empathy and the ability to simplify complex concepts.
