I am an experienced, enthusiastic and friendly tutor committed to helping students reach their full potential. I have been tutoring and preparing students for their exams for the last 20 years and it has been my privilege in that time to watch students grow in their confidence, ability and enjoyment of subjects I teach.
I prepare students from UK as well as from outside UK for 11+, 13+ and scholarships.
I also help students with UCAS application, help them with UCAT & BMAT and prepare them for university interview by providing mock interviews.
I teach face to face and online via Zoom, Skype or any other platform that is convenient for my students.
I have twenty years of experience in tutoring. I have successfully been able to aid students - all varying in level, age, ability and personality - improve their subject-confidence and problem-solving skills through patience and practice.
I am friendly, approachable, punctual, and believe students do best when given encouragement and reasonable goals. I am not only intimately familiar with the course material, but also know how to adapt and then deliver the material to the student in the way which works best for them.

KS2 SATS Scaled Score (Out of 120):
I believe every student is unique and tailor my lessons to each individual in the way that is most effective for them. My twenty years of teaching experience has developed my philosophy of valuing students as individuals with varying needs. I aim to provide students as many learning opportunities and experiences as possible in order to engage, motivate and prepare them for their exams and hence for their future life.
I like to ensure that the learner is both enthused and engaged in the tutoring sessions and have a range of resources and assessment techniques. I ask questions which encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills that enables the learner to eventually find the answer by themselves rather than giving it to them without much in the way of explanation as to how one might arrive to the answer on their own.
I believe that a teacher's perceptions, beliefs and personality play a major role in creating a positive learning environment. Effective verbal and non-verbal communications, professionalism, high expectancy from the students to raise motivation and achieve targets are the traits of an effective teacher, which I have been demonstrating throughout my teaching career.
I believe constant practice and repetition is of utmost importance to gain familiarity and confidence so I encourage my students and provide them with the questions they need. I also use exam papers to identify areas of weakness so we can then work on specific skills or topics. We can then revise topics and make revision materials.
