Monica has been teaching Italian conversation to three members of our staff for over 18 months. In that time Monica has created really interesting lessons with dialogue related to our business as destination wedding planners. The lessons are fun and engaging, and Monica is very professional in her presentation. Whether you wish to learn Italian for an upcoming holiday, for business, to pass exams with a top grade or just because you love Italy and the language, Monica is absolutely the best tutor to help you. She passes on her enthusiasm for the Italian language to her students, and I highly recommend her.

Monica is a great teacher for adults; she makes the class fun, friendly and relaxed. I like how she creates dialogues, that are easy to follow and as a result, you learn from mistakes and build confidence in speaking the language and also a better vocabulary.
There’s still a lot of work ahead of me in my Italian language journey, but I highly recommend her as a teacher for students of the Italian language.

I have had the pleasure of learning Italian with Monica for over a year and I absolutely loved it! Monica is a truly fantastic teacher: a linguist with both education and experience in teaching, very organised and very caring. She immediately understood my needs when it came to learning Italian and prepared a programme tailored specifically to me, introducing speaking, listening, writing and reading from the very beginning. The lessons were always challenging but fun and very informative, teaching me about all aspects of Italian, from grammar through to culture. Monica is the most patient, friendly and knowledgeable Italian tutor. She always tailors the lessons to what I need to work on that week and keeps things interesting so you don’t just work through a textbook. She has really helped my speaking and listening.

"I signed up to learn Italian with Monica 3 months ago. In this time, she has made what would have normally been another "task" to complete at the end of a working day into a very enjoyable and useful hobby which has resulted in drastically improving my understanding and confidence in the language.

Monica is pleasant, easy going, well organised, and clearly cares about the work she is doing. Monica's starting approach includes an introduction to the basic vocabulary as well as the structure of Italian; helping you understand the nuisances of the language so you can learn quickly and efficiently. From here, she encourages your growth in understanding by gradually guiding you through more complex exercises.

As well as providing a comprehensive lesson plan, Monica sets homework which is specific to your current stage of learning to reinforce what you have learnt. She marks then marks the homework, provides comments, and sends the homework back to you outside of lesson time to help support you. Furthermore, she is always available to contact if you have any questions or need help with anything.

She is an excellent teacher and a pleasure to work with. "

Look no further… Monica is the best Italian Tutor out there. From the moment I contacted her, she clearly understood my aims and set out a bespoke plan to help me achieve them. I struggled at university but with our study sessions, she boosted my performance in such a short amount of time that I was able to achieve a first class degree. Monica was very knowledgeable about Italian language and helped me to achieve my goal of getting a job in Italy. We did lots of speaking practice in our lessons, which I would not have been able to do in a large group class.

Monica has significantly improved my Italian to the point where I can now have conversations with my Italian partner and his parents (who don't speak any English!). Her approach is structured and personalised to my level and needs, at exactly the right level of balance between being challenging and fun, and her patient and guiding learning style is really giving me more confidence to practice my Italian "out in the wild". She's an excellent tutor because not only do I learn the language itself, but also a lot about the cultural context in which the language sits—for example food and traditions—, which I believe is so important for language learning. Monica is a wonderful teacher who makes Italian lessons fun & interesting for my children. I always hear lots of laughter & the children look forward to the lesson each week . Monica is very good with the children and reliable. I feel very lucky to have found her !

Monica has taught my 8 year old daughter Italian for the last 6 months. My daughter has come on in leaps and bounds and thoroughly loves her lessons I can't reccomend her highly enough!

My wife is Italian and I spend all of my holidays over in Italy for the last few years, so I decided this year that I would pull my finger out and start to learn the language. This summer (2015) I found Monica and I have been having weekly lessons with her since. Within just a few weeks I already had a good grasp of the basics. A few weeks later I could read and write sentences and understand Basic conversations. I'm now at the stage where already I can actually have basic conversations and my confidence is growing. Monica has been absolutely brilliant in keeping the lessons interesting and engaging. She focuses in on areas of weakness or things that may need more practice in a way that is motivating and constructive. However, most importantly she is a really fabulous person who is patient and cares about getting the most out of her students. I can't thank her enough

I have had a few lessons with Monica. I would recomend her to anyone, I was so nervous about learning Italian but she has done a good job of teaching me at a pace that suits me.

Monica is a great teacher, I can see my progress every week and am so happy I took the plunge to take lessons. She is helpful and easy to get along with. She is extremely flexible which really helps with my work pattern.

It has been a pleasure to have Monica teaching my husband Italian. She has been very well prepared for the lessons and been very specific about the thing he wanted to learn.
