Government and Politics
I graduated from Cardiff University with a degree in Politics in 2016. Since graduation I have completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course. I am currently a trainee solicitor.
I am able to teach Psychology to GCSE and A level standard, and Politics to an A level and degree standard.
I am a hardworking and patient individual who believes they can offer a high standard of teaching to students and support them towards achieving their desired grades.
I am happy to travel up to 10 miles from my home and am currently available evenings and weekends.
Whilst in sixth form I would assist teachers at the nearby junior school with their lessons, and help younger pupils with their classwork and helping them to understand the topics being covered in class.
Furthermore at university I was part of a charity that would teach refugees English once a week. This enabled me to strengthen my teaching approach, and how people learn best.
I tailor my teaching style to what is required and wanted by the student. However, in general I try to make the learning interactive and use a variety of teaching methods, depending on the subject area being focused on. I think it is important to apply the theory to real-life scenarios as this makes learning more interesting. A focus on exam techniques throughout are also crucial, as it is important to keep the end goal relevant alongside the learning.
