I'm a qualified and practising teacher of mathematics, particularly interested in post 16 teaching. I'm in my 19th year of teaching and so well experienced and familiar with curriculum requirements as well as teaching strategies.
Extensive experience of teaching mathematics and further maths at secondary level, up to and including A-Level standard. I also have a lot of experience of home tutoring, particularly at A-Level, and of one to one and one to many teaching.
I am experienced in teaching all areas of mathematics and further maths up to and including GCSE, and of teaching pure mathematics and mechanics at A-Level, as well as pure maths for Further Maths A Level.
Generally, I have found that tutees/pupils are struggling on specific topics, and either don't feel comfortable with the way that a topic was introduced at school, or they just need a little bit of extra support to fully understand a new concept or topic. So I usually find that pupils lead the way a session goes - either focussing on specific topics, or often working through and discussing examination questions.
