I’m a down-to-earth teacher who will make you feel at ease and build your confidence in the subject. I’m kind and patient, and I am good at recognising little steps that can be taken to improve the quality of your work over time. I’m approachable and a good listener.

Tutoring Experience

I taught in secondary schools for 13 years. I have experience with KS3, GCSE and A Level. I’ve recently left teaching in a school to pursue my own business but would still like to keep my love of English alive.

Tutoring Approach

I always start with the basics of writing first and build up from there. I will design engaging tasks that work on the skills that need improving the most. When tutoring, I’m constantly subtly assessing and adapting to improve what I see.
