Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching and tutoring Maths and Physics to GCSE and A-Level, for 25+ years - as the Head of Physics in outstanding secondary schools in West London and successfully tutoring all levels and across the full range of ability.

I have extensive experience of classroom teaching, of "face to face" tutoring, and online tutoring.

Tutoring Approach

I use a friendly, professional, student-centred approach, continuous assessment and feedback to find and fix gaps in the student's knowledge and understanding, and I work with the student and parents online.
Possible strategies include (a) teaching any topic chosen by the student (b) working through the syllabus (c) working through text book OR revision guide OR workbook OR exam papers. It depends on the particular needs of the student and the learning method favoured by the student.
My tutoring is tailored to meet the needs of the individual student, whether it be help with homework, coursework guidance, topics, exam preparation, past papers, etc. the student and parents WILL see improvement.
KS2 - Maths, English, Science; KS3 - Maths, Science; GCSE - Maths and Physics; A-Level Physics; QTS and PGCE preparation.
Parents report back to me that my tuition has definitely helped their son / daughter to reduce anxiety, heighten confidence and improve their grades in Maths or Science / Physics.
We make the online learning experience and working relationship just as effective as the face-to-face experience.
Over the last 10 years I've developed my method to deliver the same excellent tuition online using Zoom and screen sharing technology, as I do in a face-to-face lesson. I currently work online with students in various parts of the U.K. and overseas.
