Primary school teacher with over 35 years teaching experience from Nursery right up to year 6. I have over 10 years 1:1 primary tutoring experience including tutoring Mathematics, English as well as Science and Religious Education up to O'Level . PGCE specialism was Religious Education. I have a 2:1 Bachelor of Education degree. I have a PGCE and as well QTS. I am currently a PPA covering all year groups. I have previously taught Reception classes right up to Year 6 SATS preparation including teaching all the Core subjects and foundation subjects.

Tutoring Experience

I have a Bachelor of Education Degree (BEd), PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Before coming to UK in 2001 i taught in Multi Racial Private Schools in Zimbabwe over 15 years.
I am currently a PPA covering all year groups. I have previously taught Reception classes right up to Year 6 SATS preparation including teaching all the Core subjects and foundation subjects.
I teach mainly using the Singapore (concrete pictorial abstract) approach when teaching Maths and I mainly teach English using Pie Corbett (Read it talk it write it) approach. I teach a lot of phonics using Letters and Sounds.
I have extensive 1:1 tutoring across East London families as well as teaching in Saturday School in Walthamstow where I am currently helping homework groups.
In addition to Primary Tuition and SATS Preparation, I have also tutored (1:1) Mathematics, English, Combined Science as well as Religious Education right up to O'Level preparation.
I also offer zoom lessons during this covid-19 pandemic.

Tutoring Approach

As a practising teacher, I believe that extra support is necessary for those pupils who may need extra support in certain areas of the curriculum or who want to achieve a higher standard.

I usually visit pupils at their homes after school and over the weekend. Sometimes I do take classes at my home if need be. I offer online teaching through zoom lessons.
I am passionate about providing a high level of education and I have a track record of developing children of all abilities in line with the National Curriculum.
