I am a friendly and easy-going native Mandarin speaker with a Master’s Degree taught in English. I have more than 15 years tutoring experience and a track record of instilling confidence in and empowering students to academic and personal development.
My experience includes planning programmes for Key Stage 3 Mandarin learners, teaching GCSE Mandarin to students. Some of my students have been studying with me for more than 7 years and I have gained a wealth of positive feedback and transferable skills.

Tutoring Approach

I tailor my tutoring methods according to the individual, but always try to make learning enjoyable. Methods I would use to teach a young child would focus on fun ways to learn pronunciation and vocabulary, whilst an adult-learner might benefit more from real-life situation conversation practice. Sometimes I use songs, video and other media.
