Sam has been attending weekly tuition sessions with Melanie since September, going sometimes twice a week. The concerns I had about him not meeting his potential or catching up with the curriculum in time to attempt the Transfer Tests, have vanished. Melanie is very experienced and is great at identifying strengths and weaknesses which has given us and Sam a better focussed approach to his work at home.
He enjoys his lessons and his approach to preparing for his transfer tests is improving with each week. Melanie offers him lots of positive praise but also encourages him firmly in areas where he needs improvement. Sam's weakest area is comprehension and Melanie has suggested lots of suitable book titles that he has enjoyed. His literacy skills have really improved since September.
Melanie is very approachable, flexible and helpful- ordering in resources and workbooks on our behalf. I would recommend her highly and hope to continue to use her services with my other children in years to come.
