I am a fully qualified and experienced teacher of English, having graduated with an M.A. in English and History from The University of Glasgow, and a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (Secondary) from Jordanhill College of Education. I have many years of experience in helping students to grow in confidence, and reach their full academic potential. I specialise in helping youngsters who have been predicted a fail or other very low grade. I've had fantastic success with this.
Aside from my academic training, much of my experience has come from guiding my own children (one of whom is severely dyslexic) through the education system here and abroad.
I live in Edinburgh, and mostly teach via Zoom. My emphasis is on making each student's needs my priority, building on strengths and identifying any weaknesses, at whatever pace works best.
Each session will normally last for one hour and cost £40. I do provide all past papers, notes and other helpful resources.
If you feel that you might benefit from help that is tailored to your specific needs, then please contact me.
Many years' teaching experience in Scotland, England and the United States. Fourteen years as a highly successful private tutor.
Tailored to build confidence and skills at a pace to suit the individual learner's needs.
