I am a kind, caring, patient, honest hardworking tutor. I am also a mother of two children, aged 12 & 17, which I tutored myself, as well as them attending full time school. I have also helped children to gain a place at Heckmondwike Grammar School.
I love spending time with my children, husband and family in general. I love to exercise at the gym & also enjoy attending charity runs and swimming events to raise money for charity. We try to enjoy family time as much as possible around busy hectic weeks that whizz by. I enjoy teaching and tutoring children, helping them to succeed in their school life and for their future.

Tutoring Experience

I have been a tutor in Europe ( Germany) from the age of 20 ,tutoring & caring for 3 children, whilst their parents were busy working & running a business. I have worked in Infant and primary schools for over 25 years teaching children from 3 to 10 years of age (Foundation to KS2) assisting with their SATS exams.
I have a vast knowledge of the schools curriculum and enjoy teaching children reading, writing, English and Maths in a group and individually helping them to easily understand their work without being frustrated.
I have worked voluntary as part of a tutoring team helping children work towards gaining a place at Heckmondwike Grammar school.

Tutoring Approach

I am a patient, kind, caring tutor who is sympathetic and understanding to how difficult children may find some areas of English, Maths & primary subjects in general, including SATS. Also along with revising for Grammar School entrance exams too.
I make learning fun and I help the children to understand the basic concepts so their confidence grows and they are able to find the work easier and more enjoyable at school and at home.
