Hi! I am a postgraduate student from Moscow. I have been teaching Russian for more than 3 years now. This passion I have inherited from my mum, who is also a Russian teacher. My way of teaching is primary focused on self-expression, as the main purpose of every language is to express your ideas on any matter. We will talk a lot, and a lot of attention will be focused on how you pronounce the sounds. Russian grammar is quite tricky, so get ready for writing assignments too. Learning a foreign language doesn't have to be boring and I will take care of that, however, be prepared to learn a lot of words by heart, as we will really need to extent your vocabulary. If you are just a beginner, no worries, the basic course will help you to start off.
4 years: elementary and secondary school, university students, adults
The key to success is to make you speak. Once you learn how to correctly express your views at least in short sentences, you are invincible. We will focus on your pronunciation and your vocabulary. There are so many words that mean completely different things once you change the stress or one of the syllables: 'za-mok - castle; za'mok- lock etc. We will read and discuss articles, learn some dialogs, so you know how to react in everyday life. Russian is a beautiful language, and though it's a bit tricky, it isn't as hard, as you might think it is.
