Ciao, my name is Maria Lucrezia, but everyone calls me Marilu'. I'm Italian from Molfetta, which is in the South of Italy. Languages are my passion. I completed my Master in Translation in the Univesity of Leicester, and I took my PTTLS Certification a few years ago, and I started to teach Italian. I studied languages for a long time, so I understand what learning a language means. I am ready to help you communicate in Italian, and if you want, I am happy to introduce you to authentic Italy. Finally, if you are interested in exploring Italy since I have previous experience in tourism and a lot of contacts there I can organise exciting tours. What are you waiting for? Iniziamo!
I have been teaching Italian to foreigners (mainly English) since 2015 at all levels (school, to pass exams, to get a passport, to communicate, for fun).
I often also teach Spanish but at a basic level.
I have taught classes of minimum 6/7 students, one to one and mostly online.
Topics in the lessons are about real life; my lessons are interactive and change according to the students' learning approach and preferences.
I'm very creative and open to new ideas. It is an interchange between the student who wants to learn and me.
When I speak real life, I mean: to be able to order a coffee in an Italian bar or restaurant or understand what an "aperitivo" is and understand Italian stuff.
Private lessons are available for students of any level.
An initial lesson is £22, for any new student, then £27 after that.
A block of 5 lessons, paid for upfront, is £125
A block of 10 lessons paid for upfront, is £220
