I am a fully qualified teacher and a French native speaker. I am currently employed as a language teacher in a secondary school in Bournemouth. I hold a PGCE, a Master's degree in French as a Foreign Language and a French Language and Literature degree gained from Rennes university in France.

I have a sound understanding of examinations requirements which enables students to perform very well in public examinations and overcome specific difficulties experienced in speaking exams, listening exams and essay writing.

Tutoring Experience

Do you need some help in preparing for your French GCSE or A Level? I can help you with speaking, listening, reading and writing exams or making sure you can manipulate grammar more confidently. I have experience in teaching Edexcel and AQA specifications.
I have 20 years 'experience in teaching French up to GCSE and A Level in secondary schools in Dorset. I have a sound understanding of examinations requirements which enables students to achieve excellent results.
My wide experience of language teaching has allowed me to develop various strategies which enhance learning and progress.

Tutoring Approach

As an experienced teacher I am lucky to have taught over the years a wide range of students at different levels. This allows me to quickly assess students 'weaknesses and strengths and establish key strategies to cater for their learning. I have access to all the resources needed to learn a language or pass an exam and I am fully aware of MFL curriculum developments.
Grammar is an essential part of language learning and over the years I have put in place a number of strategies which make grammar understanding more accessible and fun.
