Home Tuition for Biology and Entrance Exams in Redditch

I'm a third-year year medical doctor at Coventry Hospital and previously an academic at Warwick University (Honorary Clinical Research Fellow). I also have a degree in Immunology and Virology. I take a strong interest in all the sciences and maths, I am also active in medical research and education.

I like rock climbing, travelling, learning French, global health and making an impact on the education of my students.

Here is a list of my publications: https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Luke-Debenham

Tutoring Experience

My teaching is clear and concise, honed by regular presentations and teaching to my peers. Questions arising from these are often challenging, and practice in addressing and explaining these issues prepares me for the sorts of discussions I have with students. I have also spent two weeks teaching English to 16-18 year olds in Guangdong province, China. Separately, I've spent one year volunteering for an hour a week as a teaching assistant at a local primary school. I've tutored 26 students one-to-one via first tutors.

Academically I have an exceptional record.

Tutoring Approach

I was recently a student and am friends with students, I know the problems with current teaching and textbooks! My teaching is from the perspective of a student; I will provide tips on how to use the mark scheme to your advantage, clarify confusing textbooks using methods I found useful, and inspire with illustrative examples of theory in practice.

For students of medicine, I offer teaching specifically for the USMLE and have a score of 265 in Step 2, 247 in Step 3 and a pass in STEP 1. I take a first principles cell -> symptoms approach for every disease.
