Lucia

My name is Lucia and I am a classically trained harpist, based in London.

Besides teaching, I have solo, chamber and orchestral experience of many years.
I am currently a reserve of the Young Musicians' Symphony Orchestra and I have had the chance to perform at famous venues such as Wigmore Hall and Henry Wood Hall.

At present, I am finishing a master's at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, under the tutelage of Gabriella Dall'Olio and Frances Kelly.
Previously, I graduated with first class honours from Conservatorio di Como, Italy.

I took part in national and international competitions, obtaining several first prizes. Namely, in the 2015 Competition for young talents organised by Soroptimist Italia, I was unanimously awarded a first prize scholarship.

I have attended masterclasses with renowned international harpists such as Elizabeth Fontan-Binoche, Anna Loro, Judith Liber, Luisa Prandina, Park Stickney, Heidi Krutzen, Gwyneth Wentink.

I regularly play in both a flute and harp (Duo Images, with Anna Ratti) and a harp and guitar duo (Nazca Duo, with Stefano Fiacco).
In 2018, Anna and I were protagonists of Mozart Concerto for Flute and Harp, performed in Milan with MaMu Ensemble and in Cantù (Como) with Orchestra Filarmonica del Lario.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching for several years and my students are from different backgrounds, ranging from children to adults, in both music schools and private lesson contexts.

In 2019-2020 I had the chance to work as a harp teacher in two Italian music academies, Accademia Europea di Musica (Erba, Como) and Accademia al Santuario (Rho, Milan).

Tutoring Approach

I like to adapt my approach according to the student's needs. It does not matter whether you are willing to learn the harp for your own enjoyment or in preparation to exams. I will do my best to help you throughout your journey into the wonderful harp world.
