Most of my teaching experience has been with A level students but I have also spent time in secondary education supporting students through their GCSEs. As a mother of three, two of whom are both at University, and through years of experience as a teacher, I feel I understand the needs of mid to late aged teenagers extremely well and pride myself on the relationships and excellent rapport I am able to build with my students. As well as the world of business, my hobbies and interests include the collection of animals I have at home.
I have over 15 years teaching experience, predominately in further education (Alton and Farnham Colleges) but also in secondary education (Weydon School) and higher education (as an associate of the University of Portsmouth). As well providing private tution, I work as an independent consultant supporting small to medium sized businesses with leadership and management issues and am also the founder of a charity which seeks to improve the reading skills of primary aged school children. I am an eternal entrepreneur and am also PGCE qualified.
Whether working one-to-one, in small groups or with large classes, I aim to tailor my teaching to the specific needs of my students and, essentially, to bring all subject matter to life through the application of real business examples. I understand the importance of different learning styles and adapt my approach accordingly. I am naturally enthusiastic and excited by the world of business and hope that my energy and interest is infectious.
