I am a fully Qualified Secondary Teacher, experienced in tutoring across all Key Stages. I live and work around Canterbury so I may be able to tutor around this area but can effectively tutor online.

Tutoring Experience

I am 39 and Head of Biology at a local Grammar School. Prior to this I was employed at a Folkestone Grammar School for 14years. My specialist subject is Biology , having graduated from Edinburgh University with a degree in Microbiology. I also teach Chemistry and Physics at KS3.
My preference is GCSE AQA Biology and Edexcel Alevel Biology.

Tutoring Approach

I believe that the tutee should be comfortable with the tutor, that realistic targets and tasks should be set and built upon. I work based on the students highlighted areas of weakness but question around this to ensure a full understanding. Positive encouragement is essential. Exam and revision technique are also taught. I provide plenty of exam questions for practise.
