Highly qualified and experienced GEOGRAPHY teacher (BSc/PGCE - KCL/UCL IoE University of London). Geography is my passion, and I enjoy fieldwork, having led trips to Iceland, Barcelona, California. I enjoy inspiring students, and like to draw upon travel and reading. Geography is a fundamental subject, it gives young people the skills to negotiate an increasingly complex world, including key issues such as climate change, sustainability and globalisation. Tutoring Experience

Highly-experienced teacher with Head of Department and Director of VIth Form roles in 'outstanding' local grammar school. I also have taught A-Level in a top-tier and international school. I can tutor all Geography topics for all boards. Extensive GCCE and A-Level examining experience (Edexcel and AQA) I have tutored students of all abilities from SE Essex and beyond. I have been delighted with my students' progress, as many have not only met but exceeded expectations. Tutoring Approach

Approachable, friendly and focussed. I listen to your needs then tailor the teaching programme to you. I enjoy teaching all types of students - those with topic difficulties, resits, aiming for A*s etc. I integrate exam technique and use a range of materials, including rock samples, Ed Tech and You Tube clips. I am contactable via mobile/ e-mail, so students can ask questions between sessions if need arises. I set ample past papers to ensure progress. For tutoring to be worthwhile it needs to be a two-way process, involving good communication, positive engagement, reliability and motivation. When these are in place success inevitably follows!
