Private French and Spanish Tuition in Cheltenham

Hello, I'm Linda and I am a Spanish specialist who has worked with several Spanish companies and taught Spanish at Secondary school level. I have sound experience in grammar, private and the state sector. I have also taught French to GCSE level and I spent a year in living in France. I am particularly good at inspiring pupils and giving them confidence with their speaking skills. I am keen on teaching pupils the strategies needed to develop their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills especially under examination conditions. I is always am very approachable and welcoming which I find reassuring for pupils/adults wanting to improve their language skills as I know what a daunting experience this can be.

Tutoring Experience

I have over 15 years experience teaching in the Secondary sector in a range of schools. However, I have tutored pupils in the private sector and their grades have improved as a direct result of the teaching and learning strategies that I have developed and used. I enjoy teaching and seeing pupils progress and develop quickly when shown a few tested strategies. I am familiar with then new guidelines for GCSEs and A levels and have continued with my professional development. I have always had positive remarks and feedback from OFSTED when inspected in the classroom.

Tutoring Approach

I feel that pupils do not always get what they want in the classroom and a 1:1 focus can be really beneficial to give that extra focus and confidence which pupils often lack in languages. I love teaching pupils and seeing them improve and I genuinely believe that all children to want to learn and be the best they can be but often lack confidence and a positive belief in themselves. I find this particularly true of language learning pupils.
