I graduated from the University of Bath with a 2:1 in chemical engineering in 2010. I worked for a year in the nuclear industry, then as an area manager for Lidl and now I am currently leading a team of scientists locally. Whilst working part time I also teach A Level Maths at Salisbury College.

Tutoring Experience

In 2020 I have completed a PGCE teaching maths A level at Salisbury College part time. I have now moved into online tutoring using zoom really successfully, my students are really happy with the transition. I have teaching experience for both secondary and primary. Whilst at university I worked as a tutor in a local secondary school teaching maths and English for three years. I also spent six months tutoring in a primary school during my A-level studies in 2005. I have been working as a tutor in my spare time for over 10 years around the Salisbury and Bath area with over 30 students in that time some of which I have tutored from year 7 to year 13!

Tutoring Approach

I like to make learning fun, I endeavour to work out what learning and teaching style suits the pupil and ensure we get good results by working together to give them the tools they need. Past paper practice is invaluable and I spend a lot of our time completing exam questions and looking at the theory needed to complete them successfully.
