Lester

Maths and Physics Teacher in Luton

Hi my name is Lester! I’m 23, and I’m a recent Aerospace Engineering Graduate from the University of Cambridge. I provide outstanding Maths, Further Maths, Physics support to A-Level, GCSE and KS3 students. At school, I achieved A*A*A*A in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry A-Levels, as well as 11 A*s at GCSE.

I am very organised, but also flexible, so can deliver lessons in-person or virtually.

Outside of work, I play the piano to diploma level. I also enjoy playing various sports, ranging from badminton, rowing, football etc.

Tutoring Experience

I have over 100 hours of tutoring experience – providing Maths, Further Maths and Physics support to A-Level, GCSE and KS3 students. I always try to deliver fun and engaging lessons, and inspire students to love the subject that they are studying, whilst achieving the grade that they truly deserve. Furthermore, I have extensive mentoring experience – supporting several prospective students looking to study engineering at the University of Cambridge.

Tutoring Approach

I try to use a fun and personable approach when providing tutoring support to students. Firstly, I try to understand the student’s strengths and potential areas that they can improve on. Next, I focus on thoroughly developing their understanding, by providing examples, fool-proof methods and best practices. Finally, I make sure the student has plenty of opportunities to apply what they have learned. By allowing the student to solve problems independently, and frequently quizzing the student, the learning is then committed to their long-term memory.
