I am very passionate about my subject, which I have been studying in depth for 10 years.
My lessons are engaging, with many different activities taking the real world context of Amazon, Aldi and TikTok to contextualise those 6,9,12 and 20 mark answers to reach those top marks. I am reliable, punctual and approachable.
I am attracted to tutoring due to being a Secondary school Business teacher and seeing how students are within the classroom about the stress of those exams and needing that extra support to help them learn, along with the desire to fulfil a worthwhile role in society.

I believe I am sincere and genuine as well as understanding how students feel when trying to understand the work involved. Being within the education system has allowed me to build skills and knowledge that is crucial for exams. When having the sessions students will become more open to my expectations as well as the expectations they expect from me. Crucially, they will try things beyond their comfort zone because they won't be afraid of the consequences of making mistakes, but will understand how to solve the problem, learn from mistakes and improve there condidence walking into the exam.

I am available in Beverley, Hull, Driffield and the surrounding villages.

Tutoring Experience

I have 10 years experience in gaining my Business Knowledge.
I have worked in 4 different schools: Bluecoat Aspley Nottingham, South Hunsley and Sixth form, Beverley Grammar and Sirius North Academy. Which has enabled me to build upon knowledge of different exam boards and expectations

Tutoring Approach

Using the specification for the selected exam board the student is using, I will provide an introduction to a topic either through the choice of student or I will go through the areas that students loose marks in exams and follow a well planned step by step hour long lesson plan. The lesson will include an engaging starter, student centred tasks and a plenary, with resources students can take away and contextual cases students can use in exams to reach those higher marks. I will differentiate my lesson to the need of the student. The current scheme of learning will be followed and I will cover exam specifications, with practice exam questions, which I can mark and provide feedback.
I will tailor the lessons to your child's specific requirements, targets and exam. The student will be tested regularly to ensure progress is being made.
I do not provide "answers," but rather I assist in problem solving, in getting answers.

I am available on selected nights during the week, weekend and school holidays.
