First class degree from the University of Oxford in Ancient and Modern History. I attended Haberdashers' Aske's School for Girls and was a scholarship student. I believe that my academic achievements would not have been possible without the care I received from my own English tutor, and so I aim to be that person for my students.
I specialise in teaching Humanities at all levels and English as a foreign language. Many of my students say their teachers often ask then whether they have a private tutor shortly after we start classes as they see a distinct improvement in the student's quality of work and confidence.
I also offer Oxbridge interview preparation for students that wish to apply for Oxford and Cambridge as well as help with personal statements and UCAS applications.
My teaching method is conversational and based on asking questions to the student. My focuses are: promoting independent thinking, a fluent, strong writing style, confidence and enthusiasm for the subjects I teach.
