I am a Qualified teacher, Head of Biology at a top independent school in London and an A-level Examiner for a major exam board. I teach IGCSE, GCSE Biology along with A2 and AS level Biology and IB Biology. I have two degrees in Biology (a BSc and MSc) as well as a teaching degree (PGCE). I understand the pressures faced by students and parents especially when it comes to applying for Biology related degrees at university or simply needing to reach the grade requirements. My tried and tested, patient approach will put you in good stead and guarantee students are enthusiastic about the subject.

I will make Biology engaging for the student and ensure that they are confident to do well in their final exams, through the use of past papers, mark schemes and exam technique. I am more than happy to discuss any questions you have about your personal requirements.

I am a qualified teacher with several years of experience, and a previous Head of Biology at 3 different top independent school in London and abroad where I have taught both the International Baccalaurette and A-levels. I have also been an A-level Examiner for a major exam board. I have taught at a number of schools across the country and abroad I am familiar with all exam boards.

Tutoring Approach

Success in any exam is based on two things, Subject Knowledge and communicating that Knowledge through Exam technique. I will use a wide range of techniques to reinforce subject knowledge and build essential skills. Misconceptions are discussed and explained in a clear manner and students are constantly challenged to ensure that they are comfortable with the content.
