Hi I am Lauren, I am a psychology graduate and qualified teacher of psychology. I have been teaching psychology for 17 years now. I am currently part time because I have two children who are 9 and 11. I can tutor some evenings and some weekends and some week day times.
I am available to tutor both face to face and online.

Tutoring Experience

I am a qualified psychology teacher and lecturer and have taught psychology A level and GCSE for 17 years in schools and colleges. I have a psychology degree. I currently teach and specialise in AQA specification however have taught and am willing to teach to other specs. I currently teach in a school 6th form in norwich with a good track record for results. I look after the pastoral needs of students as well as their academic progress. I have previously been head of a psychology department with 150 students over two years and head of year 12. I have a good track record with students I have tutored privately. One student I taught a full A level psychology to and she went on to get an A grade and to study clinical psychology at masters level. Another I taught the full course to has recently received an A*. All of my tutees have made improvements on their current progress to reach or exceed their personal target grade. I have been an examiner so I know what the exam boards are looking for in their marking of answers to all types of exam question whether it be essay, application, outlining knowledge or evaluation. I have taught most topics in a variety of specifications before and have resources available for many topics and learning styles.

I am very keen to deliver a personalised approach to you so whether it is applying material to meet the marks available in exam questions, memorisation techniques or understanding the material, I tailor my methods and resources to suit you. I always set and mark work each lesson so that you are getting personalised feedback every lesson and this will mean you make improvements faster and get to know your own strengths and areas for improvement.
