My name's Dr Lauren Slater. I'm 30 - currently teaching English, Maths, Philosophy and Reasoning privately.
Tutoring Experience
I've been tutoring for the last 8 years - mostly primary level English and Mathematics (esp. prep for 8+/11+ exams), but also some coaching for secondary school students and GCSE students. I have been teaching A Level and Degree level philosophy for the last three years. I have school teaching experience (2 years) and university teaching experience (2 years).
Tutoring Approach
I try to make the work light and interesting. If my tutee is having fun, they are far more likely to retain what they learn.
My students have overcome challenges and found great success. Many have reported an increase in overall confidence, as well as achieving places in their desired schools.
