I am an enthusiastic, friendly and professional Primary Teacher. I was inspired to start my teaching journey by the enjoyment and satisfaction I felt when helping my son with his own work. I find it incredibly rewarding to see the children I teach achieving their potential whilst watching them grow as individuals. I obtained a 1st in my degree from the University of Roehampton, and have been teaching for four years since. I enjoy the outdoors and spending time with my two children. I am looking forward to encouraging and helping children to have a love for learning and fulfil their own potential in a fun and engaging way.

Tutoring Experience

I entered the teaching world a little later in life and feel this really helped me to know the path I wanted to pursue. I have been teaching for four years and before this, volunteered in a junior school nearby whilst studying alongside.
I am qualified in the primary age and love helping children with all aspects of their learning; especially Maths, Phonics and English work when they find things a little bit tricky. I gained experience of teaching online due to the pandemic and absolutely loved being able to continue to fulfil my passion; supporting children of all abilities in enjoyable ways to ensure they reached their own potential, gaining confidence in themselves whilst not being in the classroom setting.

Tutoring Approach

I believe that building confidence is the foundation to a lifelong learner who strives and reaches their full potential. I feel great importance lies with tailoring the learning to each individuals’ needs and interests; using a creative and interactive approach to engage the child in the task. No one way works for each child and great emphasis should be placed on linking the learning and teaching approach to the pupil. Taking time to get to know the child, building relationships and taking on board their interests is key to a happy and invested child who reaches their own goals.
