I am an Assistant Head Teacher and have been teaching English and Drama for 18 years. I am sympathetic to the demands placed on students today and believe that one to one personalised tuition is extremely effective in raising confidence and empowering students to achieve their potential.
I have been teaching A level and GCSE English for 17 years. I was an A level examiner with AQA for a number of years and have worked as a Director of Post 16 Education advising students on UCAS applications. As well as tuition for GCSE and A level English Language and Literature, I offer mock interviews for English Literature for Oxbridge applicants as well as advice on how to write personal statements for highly selective universities.
My approach to tutoring is very personalised and supportive. I am happy to tailor a programme to suit the individual student and their needs and will always take into account a students learning preferences. I am happy to provide catch up sessions on work missed during lockdown. As an actual teacher in a secondary school I am best placed to teach students what they need to know and to take the worry out of catching up on content.
